Please notes that take in at La Canada Library is March 31. Work will
be returned at the May Meeting.
Spring Show - May 5 to June 2 at the La Canada Library
Artist of the Month Winners Show - June 2 to June 30 at
the La Canada Library
Except for the Small Image Show all take-ins are on the first date of
the show and take-downs are on the closing date, both from 8:30 to 9:30 am.
Four entries per person will be permitted.
Now until January - Sheri Garwood has her work (Music and Dance Locos -
a series of loose watercolor sketches created live in response to local
musician and dancers) at the Backdoor Bakery, 8658 Foothill Blvd.,
Sunland, till mid January.
Sheri Garwood's other show (Entertainers and People with Attitude, watercolor sketches) at Ratata (French Cafe) 1884 Westwood
Blvd., Los Angeles, 90025 until the end of January.
January 4 - Applications will be available for download for the
McGroarty Arts Fair And Gallery. This is an opportunity for visual artists
from the local community to exhibit and sell their work in two juried
gallery spaces and outdoor booths. Application deadline is February 7,
2012 at 5 pm.

January 6 - McGroarty Arts Center winter session begins until March 1, 2012. Sheri Garwood will be teaching a drawing class on Mondays between 6:30 and 8:30 pm. Sheri will also be instructing "Watercolor: Nature and Still Life" on Wednesdays from 11:15 am to 2:15 pm and also on Wednesdays "Watercolor: Painting People" from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm. www.mcgroartyartscenter.org or call 818-352-5285.

January 14 - February 5, 2012, Julie Crouch and Mary Jane Klune (past
VHAA President) each have a painting in the National Watercolor
Society 2012 Donors Exhibitions at NWS Gallery, 915 South Pacific
Avenue, San Pedro.
January 29 - Business Men's Art Institue Critique Session at 3:00 to 5:30 pm, at 2228 Florencita Drive, Montrose, CA. Critque Master will be Tim Tien. $5.00 per painting. The first 20 artists to RSVP will have their work evaluated and other paintings will be added as time allows. RSVP is Bill Peterson 818-353-0032.

FREE DRAWING AND PAINTING CLASS FOR SENIORS AT Sunland Senior Center - 8640 Fenwick Street, Sunland, Tuesdays & Thursdays 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm. Open to ages 55 and up.
